TUC and the Partner Country HEI recognized by competent authorities, will sign an Inter-Institutional Agreement immediately after the National Unit of Greece (IKY) presents the announcement of successful projects and before the start of the mobility period. In this document, signed by the central authorities (usually the Legal Representatives) of the two respective Institutions, both partners mutually agree to respect the principles and quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter Education (ECHE), relating to the organization and management of mobility, and agree on a series of measures to ensure high quality mobility. More specifically, this agreement specifies the mobility numbers per academic year, the recommended language skills, the fundamental principles and other mobility or additional requirements, information about the academic calendar, the grading systems, the visa, insurance and housing issues. The partners are also free to add other important details, or recognition issues. The duration of an Inter-Institutional agreement is in-line with the duration of an approved Credit Mobility Project, meaning 16 or 26 months.
Prior to the participants’ selection, each Institution will upload on its official website information about the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility. The proclamation will describe, in a few words, the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program, the outbound mobilities, the grant allocated, the prerequisites, and the requested documents together with the application for the participation to the program. The applicants must be staff members and students that are enrolled at the Partner Universities. The Partner Institution is expected to send to TUC a document signed by the Academic coordinator or by the authorized administrative staff in charge for the Erasmus program containing the following information: a) the link to the published proclamation and b) a short summary in the English language regarding the evaluation process applied, which must be in terms with the fundamental principles described in the Inter-Institutional Agreement.
The duration of a mobility period ranges from 3 to 12 months for the students and from 5 days to 2 months for the staff. The mobility period for each participant, must be consistent with the submitted and approved mobility project. In case that the participant wishes to prolong his/her stay, he/she has to submit a request at the TUC Erasmus Office. The request will be approved or rejected depending on the available funding. Please bear in mind, that the start and end dates of the mobility period are the first day and the last day that the participant needs to present him/herself at TUC. A teaching activity has to comprise a minimum of eight (8) hours of teaching per week. In case of uncompleted week the hours are calculated proportionally (the 8 hours will be divided by 5 and then multiplied by the number of extra days).
The Academic Coordinator of the Partner Institution (further-on PI) or the authorized administrative staff in charge of the Erasmus Program will send, via e-mail, a scanned photocopy of a valid passport and ID, the Nomination Sheet and the Application Form of the Partner Institutions’ outgoing students or staff duly filled-in at the erasmus-plus@isc.tuc.gr Based on the data given by the nomination sheet, the Erasmus officer will compose a Letter of Acceptance addressed to the participants and to the Greek diplomatic missions, where the prospective incoming students or staff, will apply for a visa.
