The European Health Insurance Card is a free card that gives you access to medically necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in any of the 28 EU countries, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, under the same conditions and at the same cost (free in some countries) as people insured in that country.
Cards are issued by your national health insurance provider.
Students who have been accepted for an Erasmus+ study period or an Erasmus+ Traineeship period at the Technical University of Crete should have a valid European Health Insurance Card.
With this card, students are insured for the period they are enrolled here for their studies/traineeships. Should any health problems occur, European Health Insurance Card owners will be able to cover the cost of such emergency medical problems at the Hospital etc.
