The Digital Governance Unit is responsible for coordinating and supervising the departments related to computer networks, telecommunications, and the support of the institution's computing infrastructure and security. Its responsibilities include the design and monitoring of e-government applications, the development and maintenance of electronic services and software systems, the support of the educational process through distance learning, the digitization of files, the protection of personal data, and collaboration with public entities and social organizations for the education and awareness of digital transformation. Additionally, it ensures the security of networks and digital accessibility.
At the same time, the Digital Governance Unit participates intensively in several R&D projects and invests on cutting edge technologies and services.
The Unit consists of four departments: the Information and Communications Infrastructure Department, the Information and Communications Applications Department, the Information Systems and Services Support Department and the Information and Communications Security Department.
