The international statistical physics conference SigmaPhi 2023 Europhysics Conference will take place this summer in Platanias (July 10-14).
The conference has an interdisciplinary scope as evidenced in the thematic compositions of previous editions and the workshops that are organized for this summer's edition (more information at http://www.sigmaphi.polito.it/). It is also expected that two Nobel laureates in physics (Giorgio Parisi, 2021 and Michael Kosterlitz, 2016) will attend the conference this year.
I am co-organizing the workshop titled "Climate and Environment". The aim of this inter-disciplinary workshop is to bring together theoretical, experimental and computational contributions that focus on understanding and modeling environmental processes and related spatiotemporal datasets. The workshop also aims to highlight connections among stochastic approaches, machine learning, and statistical physics as well as potential applications in climate and the environment.
Abstracts for either oral or poster presentations can be submitted between February 1 and March 31, 2023.
