    Ο Professor Tomasz Cholewa, Lublin University of Technology, Poland θα δώσει διάλεξη (κινητικότητα Erasmus+ για διδασκαλία) στο πλαίσιο του μαθήματος «Ανανεώσιμες Πηγές Ενέργειας», την Πέμπτη 14/4, 15.00-18.00 στην αίθουσα Β1001.

    Τίτλος διάλεξης Tomasz Cholewa: 

    Energy efficiency in buildings and heating systems. Rationalization of energy consumption in residential sector. Radiant heating/cooling system – main information.

    On Friday, February 19, 2021, the Polish Science Day was celebrated for the second time. On that day, Minister Przemysław Czarnek announced the winners’ list of the Minister of Education and Science Award which is granted in 5 categories - for overall achievements, significant achievements in the field of scientific activity, in the field of teaching, implementation of research and organizational activities. The Minister of Education and Science decided to grant 74 awards - 57 individual and 17 team awards and

    Prof. Tomasz Cholewa works at the Department of Indoor and Outdoor Air Quality. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering at Lublin University of Technology. In 2013, he received his PhD degree with honors in the field of underfloor heating and cooling. Before completing his doctorate, he began research on energy efficiency and rationalization of energy consumption in buildings. After receiving his PhD degree, he started a research project on rationalization of energy consumption in the housing sector. Then, he developed, optimized and tested a proprietary method of forecasting heat supply for the needs of heating buildings, thermal substations and housing estate boiler rooms. Currently, Prof. Tomasz Cholewa is conducting tests in real conditions in 4 public buildings of the Municipality of Lublin City and 9 residential buildings in Świdnik. The tests are conducted within the frames of the project related to the development of an innovative heat supply control system for the heating needs of the existing and newly-built facilities.

    Last year Prof. Tomasz Cholewa obtained the degree of habilitated doctor and since 2017 he has been the president of the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians - Lublin Branch.

    Prof. Tomasz Cholewa received by the Polish Ministry of Education and Research an award for significant achievements in the field of scientific activity in 2021.
