Title: Efficient interconnects and scheduling mechanisms for next-generation datacenters and HPC systems
Abstract: The current computing paradigm relies on large clusters that aggregate huge numbers of computing and storage devices and which host web-scale applications. At the same time, technology trends motivate the industry to rethink several aspects of computing systems in order to reduce power and cost. In this talk, I will present my recent research results on efficient hardware mechanisms for HPC and datacenter interconnects, as well as on scheduling mechanisms for datacenters consisting of heterogeneous computing nodes.
