Abstract:
We study the spectrum sharing scenario where multiple wireless links operate concurrently, at the same carrier frequency, and in the proximity of one other. The transmitters employ multiple antennas, whereas the receivers have a single antenna. This setup is modeled by the multiple-input single-output (MISO) interference channel. We assume that the receivers treat the interference as additive noise and define different achievable rate regions depending on the channel state information that is available at the transmitters. We propose efficient methods to compute the north-east outer (Pareto) boundary of the rate regions and the enabling transmit strategies (beamforming vectors). These methods are centralized, but motivate distributed algorithms that approximately reach Pareto-optimal operating points.
