The IEEE VTS & AESS Joint Greek Chapter (Vehicular Technology Society and Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society) organized the final and the award ceremony for the National Competition for Best Thesis / Dissertation (academic year 2011 - 2012) in the scientific field "Advanced wireless systems and mobile communications" on 17 April 2013 at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
Constantine Alexandris, a TUC postgraduate student, won the competition with his thesis «Distributed Zero-Feedback Beamforming for Emergency Radio».
It is worth mentioning that institutions from all over Greece took part in the competition, while only the five best theses had qualified in the final, three of which were by postgraduate students of the Technical University of Crete, namely Constantine Alexandris, Thomas Hall and Nikos Fasarakis.
