On June 10th, 2019, Associate Prof. George Androulakis (University of South Carolina) delivered a talk entitled 'The role of entropy in quantum communications' , at the Technical University of Crete. The invited talk was organized by the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (InteLLigence) (School of Electrical and Computer Engineering). The talk was reviewing the properties of quantum entropy and its uses in quantum communications.
George Androulakis obtained his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and he is currently an Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina. He has worked on the areas of functional analysis, dynamical systems, quantum physics, and quantum information. He especially enjoys working with graduate students.
