The 14th Edition of the IEEE International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Drives (SDEMPED) takes place in Chania between August 28 and 31, 2023.
The conference is organized by the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the Technical University of Crete, with Assoc. Prof. Constantinos Gyftakis as the Scientific Director and General President of the Conference, and the Region of Crete as co-organizer.
In the SDEMPED conference, the latest developments in fault diagnosis and prognosis technology in electric generators, electric motors, power electronics, drive systems and related fields will be presented and discussed.
This year marks 25 years since 1997, when the first SDEMPED was established, as the only international symposium, entirely devoted to the diagnostics of electrical machines, power electronics and electric motors. SDEMPED is now a regular biennial event and is being held for the first time in Chania.
The conference takes place at the Leptos Panorama Hotel and its program includes two keynote presentations, two tutorial sessions, 11 regular and 5 special sessions, where 92 research papers will be presented by approximately 140 delegates from 33 different countries.
