Professor Vassilis Kouikoglou of the School of Production Engineering and Management, was elected member by the Senate of the Academy in Class VI – Technical and Environmental Sciences on October 16, 2024. He was nominated for his pioneering contributions to discrete-event simulation of manufacturing systems and the assessment of sustainable development.
His official inauguration will take place on March 8, 2025 in Salzburg, Austria. The Academy consists of 1900 outstanding scholars and practitioners, among them 28 Nobel Laureates, from across Europe.
The Technical University of Crete warmly congratulates Vassilis Kouikoglou for his election which brings honor to the School as well as the country.
