George Stavroulakis, Professor at the School of Production Engineering and Management and President of the Hellenic Society for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, is the co-chair of the 5th Serbian–Greek Symposium on Advanced Mechanics, togehther with Prof. Nenad D. Filipovic [University of Kragujevac, Serbia].

The symposium is co-organized by the Serbian Society of Mechanics and the Hellenic Society for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
The Serbian – Greek Symposia are organized by one of the participating countries. These special meetings were initiated by late Prof. Nicola Hajdin, former President of SASA, Prof. Antonios Kounadis, member of Academy of Athens, and Prof. J.T. Katsikadelis, dated back to the 1990s.
