The Technical University of Crete (TUC), Greece, and the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN), Chile, have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural collaboration. This partnership will promote faculty and student exchanges, joint research, and potential graduate program development.

Key contributors include Assistant Professor Emmanouil Varouchakis from TUC’s School of Mineral Resources Engineering, specializing in Geostatistics, and Associate Professor Mohammad Maleki from UCN’s Department of Metallurgical and Mining Engineering. Both institutions are committed to organizing joint workshops, conferences, and publishing collaborative research to address global challenges.

Signed by TUC Rector Prof. Michail Zervakis and UCN Rector Prof. Rodrigo F. Alda Varas, this agreement marks a significant step toward strengthening international academic ties.
