Faculty Members of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering Received Awards and Recognitions as PC Members at EDBT 2025

Two faculty members of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering were recognized for their services as Program Committee Members at the 28th International Conference on Extending Database Technology (EDBT) 2025

Professor Antonios Deligiannakis received a Distinguished Reviewer Award, while Assistant Professor Nikos Giatrakos is listed as a Program Committee Honorable Mention, as published in the Awards and Recognition page of EDBT 2025 PC.

The awards are offered in recognition of the efforts of PC Members to provide detailed, well-structured and constructive reviews, to participate in productive discussions during the final judgment of the articles and their contribution to creating an outstanding program for EDBT 2025. The awards will be presented at the conference awards ceremony on Thursday, March 27, 2025. 

The EDBT (International Conference on Extending Database Technology) conference series has been organized by thenon-profit EDBT Association since 1988 and is one of the leading conference series in the field of data management.The conference is held annually, hosting researchers and professionals from all over the world. EDBT covers a wide range of topics related to data storage, retrieval, analysis and management, including new challenges such as Big Data,Cloud Computing and AI for Big Data. It is an internationally recognized and highly competitive conference, with a rigorous peer review process and an acceptance rate of approximately 20% for full research papers.
