The European University on Responsible Consumption and Production (EURECA-PRO) offers to TUC's Doctoral Candidates the opportunity to participate to another Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) event:
19th Freiberg Colloquium of Young Researchers
Responsible Consumption and Production
in the Use of the Earth's Resources
The event will take place in Freiberg, Germany, on June 2–6, 2025 at EURECA-PRO partner TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) and aims to bring together young researchers to explore social, environmental, economic, and engineering sciences related to resource management, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 12 of the UN. Key topics include:
- Responsible resource management
- Sustainable processing of raw materials
- Economic implications of sustainability
- Sustainability management tools
- The role of consumption in societal change
Participants are invited to take part in a comprehensive programme with a training course on excellence research for Sustainability and excursions to institutions and companies in a region, which is not only historically known for its mining, but also for its high-levelled innovative strength. Networks emerge not only through academic discourse, but also through shared impressions, so social events round off the picture. The main language of the event is English. The on-site event in Freiberg will be preceded by an online component.

Participation costs for TUC PhD students will be covered by the TUC Erasmus+ program.
